with diabetes are developing chronic kidney disease (CKD) at an alarming
rate. It is estimated that 1 in 9 diabetics have CKD, and many don’t
even know it. In spite of the multiple continuing education
opportunities available to diabetes educators, presentations addressing
renal disease are few. As a member of the program committee for the
National Kidney Foundation, I feel confident that when you read the
