Purpose:

To recognize a Diabetes Educator who has made a special contribution to Diabetes Education through sensitive, effective, loyal, and innovative patient care.

Eligibility: 

Candidates must be an active member of DECAADE in good standing, (and not a member of the Judging Panel), and have at least (2) years of experience in Diabetes Education.

Active Member
Requirements:

Health Professional who provides direct patient education.

Professional who provides education for Health Care Professionals on  diabetes.

 

Privileges:

Right to make nominations and vote.

Right to hold office on the Board of Directors at the Local and National level (if member of AADE).

Receive DECAADE mailings.

Active Corporate Member
Requirements:

     Any member working for manufacturer of Diabetes Care Products.

 

Privileges:

     May serve on committees (except nominating), but not serve as chairperson.

     Receive DECAADE mailings.
